DMS Stars Strings Darlington 2025-26

Playing in an orchestra is a brilliant way to make great progress on an instrument and have lots of fun whilst doing it! Darlington String Orchestra staff who are fully qualified and experienced in leading music groups.

This music group is all about enjoying playing string instruments with others, no prior music group experience is needed. We rehearse weekly during term time and perform concerts at the end of each term.  There will be an amazing gala concert at the Glasshouse in Gateshead!

The progress we will see over the year is incredible as players develop their own musicality and technique while growing in confidence. We are excited to begin our rehearsals!

Rehearsals happen weekly during term time on Wednesdays between 4.00 pm and 4.45 pm.

Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass.

Standard: 2^nd year onwards - if your child began lessons during or before the 2024-5 academic year, they will be very welcome.

N.B. You only need to sign up once per academic year for ensemble
