DMS Stars Band Consett 2025-26

DMS Stars Band Consett is a vibrant music group for pupils in the early stages of their playing career, with music and activities that focus on the core ensemble skills of playing in time together, following a conductor and understanding how different parts fit together to make a band piece.

As pupils progress, they will be offered the opportunity to develop these skills further in Consett Wind Band. We have performances every term at a variety of fantastic venues, including The Sage, Ushaw College, Consett Academy Theatre and Festival, Durham Regatta and more.

Come along and experience all the fun and enjoyment that comes with being part of a musical group!

Rehearsals are weekly during term time Thursday 3.45pm - 4.30 pm.

Instruments: Flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, cornet, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, baritone, French horn, tenor horn, tuba, drums

Level: Beginner to Grade 1

N.B. You only need to sign up once per academic year for ensemble, not every week
