DMS Consett Wind Band 2025-26

Consett Wind Band is an exciting music group for pupils with previous experience of playing in a group to have fun trying more advanced music and to further develop their skills.

We will focus on important ensemble skills such as knowing how your own parts fits with everyone else’s, understanding conducting and learning how to bring out the finer details of our music to create a great performance.

We have performances every term at a variety of fantastic venues, including The Sage, Ushaw College, Consett Academy Theatre and Festival, Durham Regatta and more. 

Come along and experience all the fun and enjoyment that comes with being part of a musical group!

Rehearsals are weekly during term time Thursday 4.35 pm - 5.20 pm.

Instruments: Flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, cornet, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, baritone, French horn, tenor horn, tuba, drums

Level: Grade 2 and above or Year 7 and above

N.B. You only need to sign up once each academic year for ensemble, not every week.
