DMS Stars Band Durham 2025-26

This is a group is aimed at beginner players who have been playing for approximately 1 year.

Playing in a group is a brilliant experience for young musicians. They will learn new skills such as how to follow a conductor and play an independent part as part of a band.

There’s the chance to make new friends during rehearsals and share your music making at special performances with friends and family.

We regularly perform at amazing venues like The Sage Gateshead and our home at Ushaw Historic House. What’s more, all Durham Music Service groups are fully subsidised, so there is no cost to join in the fun.

Rehearsals are weekly during term time Mondays 4.00 pm - 4.45 pm.

Instruments: Flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, cornet, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, baritone, French horn, tenor horn, tuba, drums

Level: Beginners that have been playing approximately 1 year. 

N.B. You only need to sign up once a year for ensemble
